Text Editor

Add a Text Module

  1. Go to the page you wish to add text
  2. Click + ADD MODULE – a window drops down
  3. Click Add Text

  4. A text editing window appears
  5. Type in the text you want to appear on this page
  6. Click SAVE CHANGES

 

Edit a Text Module

  1. Go to the page you wish to edit text
  2. Click EDIT link
  3. A text editing window appears
  4. Type in the text you want to appear on this page
  5. Click Save Changes

 

Add an Image to a Text Module

  1. Go to the page you wish to add an image
  2. Click EDIT link
  3. A text editing window appears
  4. Place your cursor where you want the image to appear, and click.
  5. Click on the Insert Image icon.
  6. The Image Manager appears in a new window. From here you have the option to upload a new image or use an existing image that has already been uploaded to the Image Manager.
 

Use an Existing Image

  1. In the Image Manager, click on the thumbnail of the image you would like to insert.

  2. You can choose how the image is displayed on the page by applying a style. With your image selected, click on the Styles dropdown box in the toolbar of the text editor.
  3. Choose Image Right if you would like the image to appear to the right of the text.
  4. Choose Image Left if you would like the image to appear to the left of the text.
  5. Click Save Changes

 

Upload a New Image

  1. Click the INSERT IMAGE icon link (looks like a tree).
  2. The UPLOAD IMAGE window will apprear
  3. Click on the button BROWSE FOR AN IMAGE
  4. Select the image file you wish to upload from your computer.
  5. The image file you have selected will be listed in the Upload window. Click the INSERT THIS IMAGE button.

  6. You can choose how the image is displayed on the page by applying a style. With your image selected, click on the Styles dropdown box.

  7. Choose Image Left if you would like the image to appear to the left of the text.

  8. Choose Image Right if you would like the image to appear to the right of the text.

  9. Click Save Changes

 

Add a Header to a Text Module

  1. Go to the page you wish to add a header
  2. Click EDIT link
  3. A text editing window appears
  4. Type in the header you want to appear on this page
  5. Highlight this text with your cursor
  6. In the toolbar at the top of the text editor, click the dropdown arrow next to Paragraph.
  7. Here you have a choice of the format you would like to apply to your highlighted text
  8. Choose Heading 1 for the main headline style
  9. Choose Heading 2 for the sub heading style
  10. Choose Heading 3 for a different sub heading style
  11. Click Save Changes
 

Add Video to a Text Module

Video can come from several sources. However, the video must be hosted on the internet and linked to, either by creating a link to the video source, or by embedding the video code directly into your site.


Uploading and Linking From a Hosted Source (In this case Vimeo)

  1. Go to Vimeo.com and log in.
  2. Go to “upload” and select the option to upload video.
  3. Choose the file from your computer to upload. It must be in a recognized video format, such as .mov, .m4v, or .wmv
  4. Give the video its basic information and tags.
  5. Choose the privacy settings.
  6. You will then be placed in a queue, as Vimeo needs to convert the video for hosting.
  7. Once this process is finished, you can see your videos.
  8. Click on a video to expand it.
  9. To embed the video on your site, click the embed button on the video.
  10. In the window that comes up, select the options you want at the bottom of the window.
  11. Copy the embed code.
  12. Go to the page on your website that you wish to add this video.
  13. Click EDIT link – a window drops down.
  14. A text editing window appears.
  15. Click on HTML.
  16. Paste the embed code in the HTML editor, and click insert. The player will now show up directly in the text module.
  17. Click Save.

Link to the Video Source

  1. Locate the video on the Internet that you would like to link.
  2. Copy the link.
  3. Go to the page on your website you wish to add the video.
  4. Click EDIT link – a window drops down.
  5. A text editing window appears.
  6. Place your cursor where you want the video to appear, and click.
  7. Click on the Insert / edit embedded media icon.
  8. A new window appears.
  9. Paste your video link in the “file url” dialogue box.
  10. The dimensions for your video should auto-populate. You may adjust these numbers to create the desired video size.
  11. Click Insert.
  12. Click Save Changes.


Embed Video Code

  1. Locate the video code on the internet that you wish to embed in your website.
  2. Copy this code.
  3. Go to the page on your website that you wish to add a video.
  4. Click EDIT link – a window drops down.
  5. A text editing window appears.
  6. Click on HTML.
  7. In the HTML Source editor, paste the embedded code.
  8. Click “update” and the embedded video should show up in the article body area. (If it does not, simply continue and save the post. It should show up once you are out of the editor.
  9. Click Save Changes.

Add a Link

  1. Go to the page you wish to add a link in text.
  2. Click EDIT link
  3. A text editing window appears
  4. Type the text you want to link
  5. Highlight the text you want to create a link from
  6. Click the Link Icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
  7. Paste or create your link in the “link url” dialogue box.  If you want to link to an email address enter mailto: followed by the email address in the Link URL field.  It would look something like this: mailto:emailaddress@email.com
  8. Set the target page as same window or new window, depending on whether you want the link to open in a new window or redirect from the current page.
  9. Click Insert
  10. Click Save Changes
 

Adding Anchors

  1. Click your cursor next to the text where you would like to insert the anchor (For Example a section of content lower on your page)
  2. Click on the Anchor Icon and give your anchor a name such as “contracts”. Click Insert.
  3. Then scroll to the top of the page and highlight the text you’d like to be the hyperlink (the link that will take the user to the contracts section on the same page).
  4. Click on the Link icon.
  5. For the link URL type in “#contracts”. (This will always be the # sign and the name of your anchor).
  6. Now when a user clicks on the hyperlink they are taken down to the Contracts section on that page.

 

Insert a File in a Text Module

  1. Go to the page you wish to add a file.
  2. Click EDIT link
  3. A text editing window appears
  4. Highlight the text you want to link to the file
  5. Click the Insert File icon in the toolbar.
  6. The Upload/Manage Files window appears. Here you can choose to upload a new file or use an existing file.

You can also upload your files first and then link them to your text or images. To do this, simply click the file upload icon and upload your file as instructed above.

  1. Once you have uploaded your file, the file will be shown in the main console with the option to "Copy Link". Click "Copy Link" to store the link in your clipboard.
  2. Now you can select the text or image you wish to link your file to. Once you have selected your linked object, click the Link icon.
  3. Now you can copy the link into the link/url field by pressing Ctrl+V in Windows or Cmd + V in Mac.
  4. Once your link is pasted into the URL field, press save to commit your changes.
 

Use an Existing File

  1. In the Upload/Manage Files window, locate the file you wish to insert.
  2. Click show file link to the right of the file name.
  3. Highlight the link and copy it.
  4. Click the close link in the top-right corner of the window or hit escape to exit the Upload/Manage Files window.
  5. Highlight the text you wish to link to the file you selected.
  6. Click the Link Icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
  7. Paste the link you previously copied in the link url dialogue box.
  8. Set the target page as same window or new window, depending on whether you want the link to open in a new window or redirect from the current page.
  9. Click Insert – your selected text will now appear linked.
  10. Click Save Changes

  1. Click the BROWSE button in the Upload/Manage Files window.
  2. The UPLOAD window will apprear
  3. Select the file(s) to upload from your computer and click Open.
  4. The files you selected will be listed in the Upload/Manage FIles window.
  5. Locate the file you wish to insert.
  6. Click show file link to the right of the file name.
  7. Highlight the link and copy it.
  8. Click the close link or hit escape to exit the Upload/Manage Files window.
  9. Highlight the text you wish to link to the file you selected.
  10. Click the Link Icon in the upper-right corner of the page.
  11. Paste the link you previously copied in the link url dialogue box.
  12. Set the target page as same window or new window, depending on whether you want the link to open in a new window or redirect from the current page.
  13. Click Insert – your selected text will now appear linked.
  14. Click Save Changes
 

Delete a Text Module

  1. Go to the page you wish to delete text
  2. Click EDIT link
  3. A text editing window appears
  4. Click on the trash can icon at the bottom of the window

  5. A window will pop up to confirm your choice to delete the text module
