Users

Convergence allows you to build some complex User functionality into your sites - and you don't need a Masters in Computer Science to do it.  

Adding a new User Type

  1. Login to your site
  2. Click Users in the top right.
  3. Click the tab USER TYPES

  4. Click ADD A NEW USER TYPE
  5. Enter a name for your new user type and click SAVE
  6. Select your new user type from the list on the left.
  7. Enter a description for your new user type.
  8. Toggle the slider to YES if this user type can edit pages. Toggle to NO if this user type can only view pages.


  9. Toggle the slider to YES if this user type can add other users.  Toggle to NO if this user type cannot add other users.


  10. Use the drop down box to select if this user type is a sub-type of another user type.

     
  11. Click SAVE CHANGES at the top.
 

Adding a new User

  1. Login to your site
  2. Click Users in the top right.
  3. Click Add A NEW USER

  4. Enter a name for your new user and click SAVE
  5. Enter an email address for your new user. 

  6. Choose if this new user is active or not by toggling the slider to yes or no.

  7. Select the user type from the drop down menu, or select + Add a New User Type

  8. Select which pages the user has access to.  If pages are not available, check your settings in the User Types tab.
  9. Click SAVE CHANGES at the top of the page.
